Environmental preservation and conservation are both significant environmental terms driven by environmental needs, though they have differences. Preservation is making land or some other environmental resource legally unavailable to utilization or development by individuals. This means that there is total abstinence from using or utilizing a certain environmental resource. On the other hand, conservation is an active concern in sustaining, maintaining and restoring an ecosystem. In this regard, natural resources are utilized in a sustainable way that ensures that they are not depleted (Richards, para1, 1999). Conservation involves wise utilization, adaptive management, and sustainability, and maintaining the health of the environment. It also aims at ending further loss or deprivation of the environment. Conversely, preservation implies no change and no use of environmental resource thereby prohibiting anthropogenic interference in an ecosystem while keenly protecting and preservin g resources. Additionally, preservation is a requirement to reserve some habitat for environments to function properly. This means performing the manner in which the communities of plants and animals have evolved through time (Schenk, p13, 2010). Moreover, conservation frequently engages removing or substituting animal and plant species to create a healthy environment. The Biological Model With Behavioral Cognitive Model

The abnormal psychology model that I am choosing to write about is the Biological Model along with behavioral-cognitive model. Why? I believe it plays a key part in diagnosing an individual not only with a mental disorder but any for that matter. As well how psychology has come so far from performing lobotomies and trephinations to cure a person from their disorder to now prescribing medications to deal with the disorders. But at the same time we need for example the behavioral-cognitive model to help with treatments other than just medication. Some of the weaknesses of the Biological Model is that in the early years of psychology since it was not understood completely. People a half-million years ago performed an operation called trephination to expel what they thought were evil spirits (Comer, pg9). This did allow to remove blood clots caused by stone weapons caused by warfare (Comer, pg9). Trephination I believe had the same results a lobotomy had on individuals. It left them docile. It also adds the perspective of a brief passage of time between the two Sebastian scenes, thus allowing Olivia’s character to depart and collect the priest that is to marry her to Sebastian. 5. This scene directly affects the tone of the final act of the play. Malvolio’s resistance to Feste as the fool insists he is mad helps portray Malvolio as he sole person that is fully aware of his own identity. Malvolio knows that he is sane, whereas insanity holds onto other more frenetic characters. His stalwart sanity makes him incapable of letting down his guard and joining in the fun. At the play’s close, Malvolio finds out that Olivia did not write the love note, and his imprisonment was the result of a practical joke. If Malvolio were capable of buying into Feste’s claims that he was insane, he might have been more accepting of the joke. Instead, he claims he will have his rev enge and adds a sour tone to the ending of the play.
